Cemeteries

There are two cemeteries administered by a dedicated cemetery trustee and the trustees of the church.

1. Croghan Cemetery: Across from the church, 9029 State Route 812, Lowville, NY 13367
2. Naumburg Cemetery: 10360 State Route 126, Castorland, NY 13620

Cemetery Guidelines

1. The cemetery is for the internment of members and friends who attend and support the church, and others as the occasion may present itself, by the approval of the trustees.
2. Monuments, in the spirit of Godly order, shall be of modest design and size.
3. Acceptable inscriptions are: names, dates of birth, death, and marriage; small flowers or leaves as trim; very minimal scroll work as trim. Bright colors should not be used.
4. No trees or shrubbery to be planted on any grave. Artificial flowers are to be removed by November 1st or will be removed by cemetery keeper.
5. While burial of cremated remains is not forbidden, it is discouraged.
6. No changes are required for existing graces and stones that vary from these guidelines.
7. Lots are not sold. Perpetual care is supported by donations.
8. The cemetery trustees can amend these guidelines as necessary.
9. The cemetery trustees must approve any exceptions to these guidelines.
